Brisbane City FC is delighted to announce the signing of Young Matildas player and former Brisbane Roar forward Tanaye Morris for the remainder of the 2025 National Premier League season.

Morris arrives following her debut A-League campaign with Brisbane Roar, where she made 10 appearances and gained valuable top-flight experience. Before her professional breakthrough, she dominated the NPLW South Australia with Adelaide University SC – earning Golden Boot accolades and scoring 38 goals in just 60 matches.

Her talent was recognised on the national stage in 2024, earning a call-up to the CommBank Young Matildas. She debuted in style, scoring against New Zealand in the AFC U20 Women’s Asian Cup and was later selected in the squad for the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup Colombia 2024.

Now, the 21-year-old brings her attacking instinct, big-game exposure and ambition to Imperial Corp Stadium.

“City has achieved a great amount over the past few seasons, and looking back at last season’s success, I knew there was no other option for me but to join City,” Morris said.

“I’m really looking forward to playing alongside such a successful and experienced group of girls and excited to be working under Dante and his coaching staff.”

“I’m keen to come in and develop more as a player, score some goals, and help the club continue its success.”

Welcome to City, Tanaye.
