Brisbane City FC proudly announces Mettle as its Indigenous sponsor for the upcoming NAIDOC Week and Football Queensland’s Indigenous Round, taking place nationally from 7th to 14th July, with matches scheduled from 5th to 7th July.

Founded in 2015, Mettle has rapidly grown from its inception to become a leading figure in the construction, refurbishment, defence, and fitout sectors. With strategic offices in Brisbane, Townsville, and Sydney, Mettle is poised for sustainable growth along Australia’s eastern coastline.

“Mettle’s journey began with a vision of ‘Good People Doing Good Things Together’. We take great pride in realising this vision, making Mettle not just a preferred workplace but also a trusted business partner,” said a Mettle spokesperson.

“Mettle is honoured to partner with Brisbane City FC for the Indigenous Round during NAIDOC Week. As a company deeply committed to diversity and inclusion, we recognise the importance of celebrating and supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures. This partnership with Brisbane City FC allows us to contribute meaningfully to the community and promote positive social change through the platform of sports.”

NAIDOC Week holds national significance, celebrating the rich history, culture, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. “We are proud to collaborate with Mettle for the Indigenous Round, honouring the vibrant cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in football. This partnership underscores our commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within our club and community,” said Rob Rossi, President of Brisbane City Football Club. “Together with Mettle, we aim to recognise and celebrate the heritage and achievements of First Nations members, not only during NAIDOC Week but throughout the entire year.”

As part of the celebrations, Brisbane City FC will host the Lions in the NPL Classico Match at Imperial Corp on Saturday, 6th July 2024, with kick-off scheduled for 5:00 PM.
