Sunday afternoon sees Brisbane City back in NPL action as they welcome Moreton Bay to Imperial Corp Stadium. Moreton Bay recorded a 1-0 victory last weekend over Sunshine Coast Wanderers and currently occupy 2nd spot on the NPL QLD ladder after 7 matches. City were also victorious last weekend 4-0 over Eastern Suburbs here at Imperial Corp Stadium and sit 5th just three points behind the visitors.

This match sees the two current top scorers in the league go head to head, with Marquez Walters of Moreton Bay leading the way with 7 goals in as many matches so far this season. City striker Matt Thurtell follows closely behind with 5 goals. The two sides met twice in league action last season, City took the first meeting 2-0 at Wolter Park courtesy of a Brandon Reeves first half strike and a goal of the season contender from Sam Sibatuara late on. In the return meeting at Imperial Corp Stadium it was Moreton Bay who edged the fixture 2-1 with Ryo Ono providing his own nomination for goal of the season with an 86th minute thunderbolt from distance to give the visitors all three points.

With the match being a double header with our undefeated FQPL Women also in action City are calling all supporters to come down for a super Sunday of football at Imperial Corp Stadium. The pizza ovens will be on and a full bar & canteen running, see you all there!
